ABOUT ADAM

"Do you often feel overwhelmed, struggle with focus, or feel like you're not living up to your potential? Those diagnosed with ADHD, or who simply recognize ADHD traits in themselves often experience overwhelm, anxiety, low self-esteem, rejection sensitivity, or addictive behaviours that impact their relationships, work, or daily life. I work with teenagers and adults navigating ADHD, substance use and addictions, problematic internet use, anxiety, and depression. Together, we'll develop practical strategies to manage challenges while building greater self-awareness, confidence, and direction."

Adam works with individuals navigating ADHD, substance use, addictions, and problematic internet use, as well as those seeking greater fulfillment, purpose, and meaning in their lives. Individuals with ADHD, whether formally diagnosed or simply recognizing ADHD traits in themselves, often grapple with feelings of overwhelm, rejection sensitivity, addictive behaviours, or a sense of not living up to their potential.

Adam believes that healing begins with connection: to ourselves, to others, and to a deeper sense of purpose and meaning. Rather than viewing healing as simply eliminating symptoms or overcoming hardship, he understands healing as a process of integration which involves bringing together the parts of ourselves that may have become disconnected through pain, shame, trauma, or life's challenges.

Meaningful change unfolds within compassionate relationships. Adam strives to cultivate a therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, authenticity, and genuine presence. When people feel truly seen, heard, and accepted, they often develop the capacity to understand themselves more deeply and move toward lasting transformation.

Adam’s goal is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, relationships, values, and personal stories. Together, they work toward cultivating greater authenticity, self-understanding, and connection to what matters most. Rather than telling clients who they should become, Adam walks alongside them as they reconnect with their own strengths, wisdom, and values.

Adam’s approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based approaches, and ADHD-informed counselling.
