Who am I:
Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying), in the province of Ontario
with over 3 years of community building experience. Haitian-Canadian background has allowed me to experience and understand the social and cultural constraints that impact our abilities to fully explore and express ourselves. Wish to empower individuals through self-exploration and self-healing, in a manner that respects all sociocultural identities and contributes to the wellbeing of our communities as a whole.
Who I work with:
Primarily experienced working with youth (12-17) and young adults
(18+) navigating life transitions and experiencing difficulties with their mental health. Support them in identity formation and strengthening, building self-understanding and self-esteem, insight building and addressing/confronting internal conflicts as a result of past challenging experiences and relationship dynamics. Racialized and marginalized individuals and communities (not limited to)
Approaches:
Using a trauma-informed and emotion focused approach through a
psychosocial and culturally responsive lens. Collaboratively work with
client to achieve their personal mental health goals/objectives.
